Our Vision Statement reflects our understanding of how land trusts can use their resources to support Indigenous communities.
It grounds our purpose and commitments in land justice principles. Most importantly, it informs our mission, goals, and programming.
Process
This Vision Statement is based on 14 months of formal interviews and conversations with land trusts staff and Indigenous colleagues across the Pacific Northwest. The feedback provided in these interviews shaped our goals for, and vision of, land justice. The Statement reflects our understanding of how land trusts can use their resources to support Indigenous communities. It is an evolving document and will be built upon as we continue the work of land justice.
